President Yoweri Museveni and other regional leaders were in Bujumbura, Burundi for the 11th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the signatory Countries of the Framework Agreement for Peace, Security and Cooperation for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the Region. 

The President was being hosted by Burundi's President H.E. Evariste Ndayishimiye. Among other leaders were; South African President H.E. Cyril Ramaphosa, Central African President H.E. Faustin-Archange Touadéra and DRC's President H.E. Felix Tshisekedi. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki and regional facilitator in the crisis in eastern DRC Uhuru Kenyatta also take part in the summit.

Kenya’s Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi led the Kenyan delegation.
